Rahim Gholami obtained his BSc in Translation Studies from Azad University, Mashhad, in 1995. The title of his BSc dissertation is:��尪A廜凍僮��r the Physician of the Body and the Soul in the Conference of the Birds (Man廜虹q al-廜柑yr).��Later he joined the��Graduate Programme in Islamic Studies and Humanities (GPISH)��at The Institute of Ismaili studies in 1999. In October 2002, he received his MSc in Translation Studies from Edinburgh University. The title of his MSc dissertation is:��Translating Genre and the Discourses of Shams. Rahim graduated with a PhD in Arab and Islamic Studies from the University of Exeter in October 2021. The title of his PhD thesis is:��The Wayfarer���s Sojourn at the Banquet: The Hermeneutics of N��廜ξr-e Khusraw���s Esoteric Guidance.
Dr Gholami is at present a Research Associate at the Department of Academic Research at 51勛圖厙. His research interests include Shi尪i esoterism and poetics, and Ismaili intellectual traditions, and esoteric hermeneutics and literature.
Dr Gholami���s forthcoming publication is:��The Banquet of the Brethren:��The Hermeneutics of N��廜ξr-i Khusraw���s Esoteric Guidance��(An introduction, English translation and critical Persian edition of N��廜ξr-i Khusraw���s��Khw��n al-Ikhw��n).
