George Warner studied Assyriology, Arabic and Islamic studies at the  before completing his PhD at SOAS in 2017. He has published peer-reviewed articles on topics including Sunni-Shi’i relations,Ìýhadith, ritual, and devotional literature in Arabic and Persian, and his first book,Ìý, was published in 2021 by I. B. Tauris. Prior to arriving at the IIS, he held positions at ,Ìý, and  in Germany.

Current Research/Project: A conference cum edited volume on devotion to the Prophet’s household.
